Welcome to Dormice Class!

Dormice is our Reception class with Mrs Begum as class teacher and Mrs Dawson as our teaching assistant. 

In Dormice class, we have lots of fun, exploring the different areas in our classroom, both inside and outside and having great opportunities for us to explore, discover and learn.

Our learning takes place through a combination of whole class teaching, small group sessions and individual work as well as a variety of continuous provision opportunities with lots of planned and free play activities.

We use the online learning journal ‘Tapestry’ to record photographs, comments and observations of our busy day. We also use ClassDojo as a communication tool between class teacher and parents, providing updates and informing them of any upcoming events.

• Forest School Day: Thursday
• Library: Wednesday
• Reading: every day
  (these will be checked on Fridays and dojos will be awarded to those who have read at home with an adult).
